Many organizations and individuals are already engaged in stewarding their own corner of the Valley, and they need help. Consolidating these listings of needs and events in one place empowers land stewardship -- by and for local communities -- and  encourages stewardship on a wider scale by creating an active volunteer pool to draw from. In turn, available volunteer support  helps to drive stewardship projects that were previously out of reach, whether it is rehabilitating damaged ecosystems, creating habitat for pollinators, or just growing gardens everywhere for the sake of food, beauty, medicine, and more.

   This model for growing stewardship is a low cost, low-input, open-source approach that can be duplicated anywhere. Anyone can create a simple website for their region and invite organizations to list their events there. If every region actively stewarded landscapes for the benefit of all living things, we’d all live in a very different world!
