What Kinds of Organizations Qualify to List Projects?
Organizations for Conservation, Rehabilitation, CSA’s, and Permaculture all qualify.
Can Anyone Volunteer?
Yes. This website is for the general public to connect with volunteer opportunities. Everybody is welcome regardless of experience! Most land stewardship organizations encourage kids and families to help out but keep in mind some projects may be more rigorous than others. Click on the individual links in the calendar to learn more about each specific project., regardless of experience!
Who created this website?
This site was initiated by a Pioneer Valley based non-profit, Local Harmony (www.localharmony.org). Local Harmony raised the small amount of funds necessary to host this website from local donors. A college intern built the site and also did the leg work of inviting organizations to participate.
Who can list volunteer projects?
Any individual or organization can list on this calendar as long as the intended project will increase the health, beauty, and abundance of the landscape and surrounding communities of living things. It is imperative that each project provide some benefit to local communities.
How do I list events on the calendar?
Submit your request to list an event via the contact form. After the form is submitted, you will be invited to access the calendar via Google. Once you have access, you can continue to add your events without having to get approval.
